Continents Divide at Thingvellir, Iceland

Today I went on a trip to the area in South West Iceland where the North American and European tectonic plates meet at Thingvellir. The continents are moving apart and the divide is clear to see in the picture, all the way from the lake fissure in the foreground up to the mountains behind. The bright clear light foreshortens the landscape, and I think the planes in the rocks make it looks a bit like a Cezanne.
