Robbed in Buenos Aires

Today has not been a good day, even though the weather has been beautiful. We decided to visit a quite famous antique market in San Telmo. It is very Argentinian and not to many tourists but very busy.

As we were leaving the market and in sight of the bus stop, with no-one around, Mrs.Bob was assaulted from behind. Her wrist was grabbed and her wristwatch ripped off. This took seconds. I gave chase and was within a couple of yards of the thief when he jumped on a motorbike which him and his accomplice then immediately took away on.

Another couple of yards and I may well have caught hime. A well planned snatch. Mrs Bob was not hurt but quite shocked and understandably so.

We spent the afternoon in a police station and to our surprise, they were terrific!

So, a blip of a stall at the market. Sorry it isn’t much today but an interesting collection of old cameras. There were dozens of them!!

Tomorrow, an early start. We fly to the falls at Iguazu in Brazil.
