"Not Only" ...

...Do we have Lizards and River Boats and lots of lovely River Birds and Wildlife right here - 'just around our corner' - but we have a lovely Arts Centre, just around the corner -recently built right next to the old "Rio Vista" Historical Home which I featured here just a couple of days ago..

...Today we decided to get a blip of the outside of the building - however, when I enquired into the cost of the building itself- which went into the millions of dollars - the ladies there asked me if I'd like to see the inside of the building including the Theatre which will shortly be featuring Australia's newest superstar, Harrison Craig who will bring his beautiful vocals and inspiring song selection to the stage..right here, on Thursday..at this Theatre...

... I asked if I could take a photograph of the lovely new theatre - one of the men kindly put the stage lights on for me and down on the left there you can see John with one of the ladies who was so kind to us...

... We shan't be going though - it's all booked out now...

... As well as seeing the lovely new Theatre, the ladies ushered us into the Art Gallery, right next door - proudly displaying works of John James Audubon ..( 1785-1854) - together with many other wonderful artists, mainly of sketchings and poster copies, and in another section, above - marvellous Photographic displays as well, by artists young and old...

...Mildura Arts Centre is very proud to have John James Audubon's famous work displayed right here - that is, up until today, so we were very fortunate to see his work before it left tomorrow..

...Those of you who are interested in orthinology and the work of, this has been a treat..John James Audubon was a French -American orthinologist, a naturalist and a painter notable for his expansive studies to document all types of American birds and for his detailed illustrations that depicted the birds in their natural habitats..His beautiful works of art in the form of prints included some from "The Birds Of America' .. and indeed his life story - would certainly make a wonderful film...

...All of this - and - 'just around our corner'...
