Many shades of Brown....

Darkness comes so quickly now...we turned our clocks back yesterday...and so by 4.40 pm, when i left the Inverary pool, the sun was gone! It looked so promising around 4.20 - when i was in the shower....i briefly thought of running outside to the car, getting my camera and trying to take a shot! but i thought i might get some strange looks, dripping there, in the cold...so i came home, blipless!

As i go up and down our circular staircase in the house, i often touch this lovely old rope handle that Terry installed probably 35-40 years ago! I began looking around the house for something Brown for this challenge! and i found this!

Had an early start in the studio, lots more uglies made (only 12 more and i've got 100), trimmed the others and made some slab oval platters! I also came to the conclusion of my wonderful book....and i'm happy to say that it was a good ending, he was 85 so inevitably he died....but it was a good and honorable ending! It wasn't all weepy and melodramatic, altho i did shed a few tears, as i was throwing mugs, when his dog died!!!

Onto the next book! How the Light Gets In, by Louise Penny...another mystery set in Three Pines, Quebec....it's already great!
