PURE is today's DDW challenge topic.

Linda Hunt is only 4'9" yet appears to dominate costars like 6'2" LL Cool J. She was never a great beauty and now is old, though her voice retains its vibrant rich power. But her acting throughout her career has been mesmerizing, beginning with her breakthrough performance in the 1982 film "The Year of Living Dangerously," in which she convincingly played a Eurasian man. Her delivery and her timing are impeccable. She fully inhabits her character and nails every line.

"NCIS Los Angeles" is a silly shoot-em-up car-chase let's-have-another-explosion action show. Why do I watch? Purely for the pleasure of seeing Linda Hunt strut her stuff.

NaNoWriMo report: Yesterday's writing was mostly description. Today's was mostly dialogue. Is anything ever going to happen in this story? The slow pace is dragging me down! Didn't make my quota today, but produced a respectable number of good words.
