Pikes Peak mountain road

I'm in Colorado for a conference in Denver, but we managed to escape for a day at the beginning. About 60 miles south of Denver is Pikes Peak, a 14,000 ft high mountain with a road to the summit. It's the location of the famous annual hill climb race. Unfortunately we couldn't drive right to the summit due to high winds, but we did get to about 11,500 ft. Incredible to be able to drive up a mountain, can experience a lot more in less time. Great views, and some fun with altitude! (Run for a bit...)
