Third Year Abroad

By LittleLots

It only really hit me that its November now at the start of this week. Sadly, the main reason for this was the noticeable price difference in melons, rising from about a euro for half to over 2 euros. Winter is definitely coming. Still its weird being in Spain over the fifth of November, I always think of it as being one of the coldest nights and yet here I was still only in a leather jacket. Missed the fireworks as well, but we made up for it by going for a drink in one of the Irish pubs which is about as British as we can get here. Although we did have to explain to the Irish half of our group why on earth we celebrate the prevention of the Gunpowder Plot with more fire and the burning of a Guy Fawkes figure... What was supposed to just be the one drink, turned into a couple before we headed on to a tapas bar and another Irish pub in Calle Elvira where we realised it had suddenly gone from 9:30pm to 2:30am. At this point Ash wanted to go home via Vogue to pick up her jacket. Despite the club being pretty much dead, after another drink and witnessing some of the craziest dancing I have ever seen, we still managed to stay another couple of hours before heading home. I should really know by now that going for a drink never turns out to be just the one...
