i finally got round to clearing the top drawer of the desk i have adopted as mine, dumping out all the rubbish left behind and returning about two dozen of these cardboard cupholder thingies to the canteen. now i've a bit more space i can leave a few more things alongside the tea mug and spare notebook.

worried for N tonight - a good mate of his is having a life crisis, which is bad enough, but said good mate is also currently living the middle of the usa. let's just say things there are bad but things here (ie, N) are also worrying. i hope between them they figure out what's next - and that he has the sense to lean on me (and my specialist knowledge of fucked-up life experience) thru it.

also: i just passed 55555 views, which, tho no great shakes a number in one way, is eminently cool in another.
