Bright agent of decay

Frequently encountered on dead wood, this Lemon Disco, Bisporella citrina, is one of the brightest things to be found amongst the muddy browns and dull greens on the gloomy woodland floor at this time of year. It is one of the many fungi working away to recycle fallen branches and dead vegetation.
