Foodbank..

antics!!

Finished a busy shift at the Foodbank this morning and was asked to stay on to set up an event to be held at the Church this weekend. We were asked to get 15 'single person bags' worth of food out of the cupboards and randomly pack it into trays so that on Sunday various church going children can try their hand at packing one persons three day package. It was a lot of food.. this is most of it without the 15 litres of milk and fruit juice. Then we just needed a strong man to help move it into position!!! (Luckily we have one of those on hand!). It will all be packed by the children and then.. yep you guessed it.. unpacked back into the cupboards by more volunteers on Monday ready for repacking on Tuesday!!!

Well.. that should keep them amused!!

Picked up a shoebox for the Christmas in a Box appeal too.. I used to love doing these with the children when they were small and thought I would do it again. Hopefully it will make one more small persons Christmas happy as well as provide a wet day blip sometime over the next week..
