Ladies on the Links

Gina and her friend Carol ran a very successful golf tournament today at the Magnolia Greens Golf Plantation, for the second year. It was held for a local charity, The Assistance League. One hundred forty-one women took to the fairways, but it wasn't all golf. There was a putting contest. Breakfast, along with Bloody Marys and Mimosas was served prior to the 11:00 am shotgun start. Along the course, there were two soup stops, two sandwich stops, and two wine stops, followed by dessert. Lots of prizes were awarded as well.

I was the designated photographer, making sure I got pictures of each foursome along the course. I quickly put a slide show together for the players to see along with their cake and coffee.

The is Peter McArthur who played for an hour prior to tee-off and as the ladies drove to their starting holes. Peter is quite good, and serves as the official piper of the famous Pinehurst Golf Club, known as the home to American golf.

I just peeked at my blip from last year, also a shot of Peter, and essentially the same verbiage. It's HERE.
