Clouds over Newhaven

There is a whole new city growing up on the banks of the Firth of Forth at Newhaven. The three blocks of houses in this photo are all different, from the neo-Old Town houses and apartments on the left to the futuristic flats of Platinum Point and beyond. In the foreground is a bit of the land reclaimed from the former harbour area but as yet unused, and to the right of the photo is a large supermarket that, being built before any of the houses, was a sign of what was expected. In the distant background is the shoreline of Fife.

The clouds didn't produce the rain they threatened - not, at least, for several more hours.
