Heron breakfasting

With the filter this looks more mystical than it was. We sometimes see this heron on our running route as I understand herons have quite clearly defined territories.
Now if I was a photographer first and a runner second I might have a better picture, but for me one of the great joys if running the same route every week is watching the changing seasons and occasional glimpse of wildlife.
