Christmas cake... Attempt 1...

Hmmm...

This came from Mum when I was last at home - it was a box from Ringtons (Newcastle tea and coffee company) containing the flour/sugar mix and a bag of fruit and the cake tin (which turned out to be more like the plastic trays that you get ready meals in from Tesco...). Add eggs and butter and away you go.

I made it this afternoon, and have tasted a few crumbs that came off as I turned it out. I'm not convinced about its taste. Maybe it'll improve with getting fed some rum over the next few weeks? Or I might try another one from scratch.
