Cheetah

Started the day early to attend a Cheetah event at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park this morning. First we were treated to a special viewing of an enrichment activity for one of the Cheetahs. The zoo keeper had placed meatballs by the colorful gourds before letting the Cheetah out into its enclosure. It was fun to see and photograph the Cheetah.

We were also treated to a talk by a reproductive specialist. The zoo has a very successful breeding program. It is part of their impressive conservation effort.

A great start to the day. I spent a few more hours there exploring just a few of their exhibits. Came home with lots of pictures to choose from for today's blip. I quickly decided it had to be one of the Cheetah pictures since that was the main event.
