Weekend Away

Me Jo and DawnE went to visit our friend Ken on his farm in Stanthorpe this weekend. It was just the tonic. We also checked out a few wineries along the way, so we weren't in short supply for evening drinks.

Unusually for me, I had no agenda. No chainsaw, No battery or fuel for my Land Rover. No fishing rod. In other words I forced myself to relax and go with the flow. Ken made a fire in the late afternoon (as you do), and we all sat and watched a big storm come over. Unfortunately it didn't dump any real rain, but the lightning show was spectacular.

I BBQed some steaks for dinner, and ruined some spuds in the camp oven. I blame the stormy wind making the fire too hot.

Very relaxing day.
