Feasting Beetle

This interesting little beetle and all of his family and friends are currently feasting on one of my plants. I've never seen a beetle like this before and I've never seen anything attack this particular plant before so its quite an unusual occurrence!

He is a quick footed character and quite difficult to get near, but I persevered because I really wanted to catch the beautiful detail in his patterned back. His underbelly is black and white striped so overall he is quite unusual and eyecatching, no idea of a name!
