New meets old on the weekend excursion along to the development site.

I was surprised to still get access this close. The steel work is all done and the giant crane moved offsite during the week. More concrete has been poured for the waterside path but not yet for the wall which will enclose the site.

For the first time it is possible to get a sense of the scale of the new extension, 'though not from this image. It looks like the new build will be about the same size as the old. It feels strange to see open space transform to the open lattice of the steel and to imagine that soon solid walls will dominate the site.

I know someone who recently bought a flat opposite 'for the (sea) view.' Oops ...
