Butt of Lewis

The lighthouse at the Butt of Lewis from Fivepenny Ness. I like the way that the light picks out the 'lazy-beds' ( the old agricultural lines) and the contrast with the modern shrink-wrapped silage bales in the foreground. The lighthouse if now automatic, but it is a Stevenson construction. This is the furthest NW corner of Europe, unless you count Iceland! and we are far enough north to be about the middle of Hudson Bay.
