Recycling center

This is not the most glamorous subject for a photo but it is part of the Swedish way-of-life. At home we collect the recyclables and every so often we drop them off on our way to town. Virtually all supermarkets have a similar recycling center outside.
What do we recycle? The bins contain (left to right) metal, cardboard, all plastics, paper, glass (clear), coloured glass, and clothing.
Who pays? - a consortium of retailers and the packaging industry were created to deal with the problem of all that packaging, with the threat of government legislation if the industry didn't get it sorted. They work together with the local authority. Amazing how quickly this private public solution changed the "impossible to do" into a simple routine. It's not perfect, but it's pretty good.
Then there's the compost at home but that's another blip.
PS - Yesterday's blip showed me changing to winter wheels after a week of cold weather with heavy frost. Naturally as soon as I was properly equipped the temperature shot up to 5C and it poured with rain. Oh well, I'm sure the frost will be back soon.
