Lomond Hills

Our Saturday walk was a circuit over West Lomond. This view shows East Lomond in the distance. It was a cold day, more like winter than autumn, and the top of the hill was hidden in fog.

The highlight of the walk was seeing a charm of goldfinches. I have often seen pairs in the garden in summer but never a small group in winter. They flew along the track in front of us, before heading off to a distant clump of thistles.
