Lots of History

What a wonderful day - wall to wall sunshine.
Took Polly for a walk in the Ryburn Valley and then stopped off in Ripponden for a quick blip or two.
This blip shows St. Bartholemew's Church - this is the fourth church on this site - the original church was 1464.
The white building is the Old Bridge Inn which stands by the old packhorse bridge. The Blue Plaque on the wall of the pub states 'Probably Yorkshire's Oldest Hostelry - Earliest Recorded Date 1307'.
History in abundance :-)
