Cammo Tower

An enjoyable walk on the north western greenbelt of Edinburgh, which sadly is now projected by the town council to have housing built upon it in the next decade. The public park at Cammo will not be built on but its open vistas will no doubt disappear.

There were sails originally on the top of the crenellated crown of the early 19c tower to pump water up to a lead lined wooden tank to provided the water supply to the nearby Cammo House.
