Sizing Things Up

An effective way to show size in a shot that is difficult to present perspective, is to shoot it with a known sized object. This little group of flowers really surprised me today. They sprouted out of one of the succulents we have outside. So small, I almost missed it. I shot them several times with a macro setting and I could never get a good perspective that showed how small they were. I finally shot them while holding a U.S. currency dime - it's less than 5/8" in diameter. Small flowers and great detail in such a small flower.

I hope you enjoy it!
