Flooded Tree - Lake Wanaka

On our travels around New Zealand we have seen several trees standing in what appears to be flood water. This one is in Lake Wanaka ... taken on a short cycle ride from our camp site into the town.

Wanaka scores well on a number of scales - not least because the first cafe we tried had a choice of dairy free sorbets which meant Gill could enjoy the moment and I had a guilt free ice-cream.
