Yuck ...what a horrible day !

It really is a nasty morning....rain rain rain. Foot hurting & C not a lot better.

Because it is the 11 November we musn't forget all the people that have given their lives so that we can live in a Free & Peaceful society. We will remember them...

P been over this am for a chat about things.

The picture shows a stone inlaid on the canal bridge in Park Street. A cheat blip really as I took this yesterday.

It basically says that the 2 bridges (spanning the Grand Union Canal & Bear brook) were constructed by Aylesbury Urban District Council & opened to the public in December 1906, the remainder of the stone is very difficult to read & it won't be long before it disappears completely. I think that perhaps the bridge in the lower High Street was built at the same time as it is of similar construction materials. I must take a look..

Update - No I was wrong; the Lower High St bridge was constructed in 1894, and I will picture it another day.

H A H expected between 1 & 6.
