Open

This gate is the fourth in my short series tagged garden gates. I noticed this open yesterday and investigated: although it has an impressive lock, it would be easy to reach over the gate and turn the knob on the inside to open it - and anyway there's nothing for the tenon to latch onto or into. So an impressive but functionless defence.
The hanging baskets on the washing line are a nice touch. And the barbecue looks pretty solid. Clues to imagine the family life which goes on beyond the wall.
