Whispers around the Sugar Sheds

The whispers from Absent Voices echo down the years.

This watercolour of the Greenock Sugar Sheds by the late Bill Sinclair was posted on the Absent Voices private email group today by Anne McKay, who was taught art by Mr Sinclair at Notre Dame High School in Greenock. As was fellow Absent Voices artist, Alec Galloway.

The McLean Museum and Art gallery in Greenock has this painting in its collection.

Mr Sinclair's son, also called Bill, sent Anne this image to show the Absent Voices artists but it's such a beautiful picture we thought it was worth sharing here.

Bill is coming on the walking/drawing tour of the Sugar Sheds which Anne and fellow Greenockian Absent Voices artist, Rod Miller, are doing this Saturday (Nov 16th).

We Blipped it yesterday HERE

Art teachers are such influential people.
