My Aim is True

Killiecrankie

We went to Aviemore for a few days and explored the surrounding area. I remember that one of our group was a moaning besom, I didn't see her for years, but can assure you that she is still a moaning besom.

We ate in The Scots kitchen , and I can tell you that in 1981, a lentil soup would cost 45pence, lamb stoves would be £1.65 and an apple pie and ceam would set you back 65 pence. A red or white wine was 60 pence per glass (or £3.50 a litre*).

This photo was taken at Killecrankie, where we debated the plausibility of the soldier's leap

it's worth watching the Corries Braes of Killecrankie just for the near miss the reliant robin has with an oncoming vehicle.

*a litre would have been quite a sophisticated measurment in those days.
