Ashes

Last week I was hunting down ancestors from 1700s in Kirkcudbright, this week, scattering my fathers ashes in Ayrshire. After a suitably darkly humorous discussion, the rain cleared up for a moment while we scattered his ashes and chose a location for the memorial plaque. A lovely spot, overlooking the River Irvine.

Then I, once again, drew rainbow houses with my niece til it was time to head back east.
