The Mall

Insomnia last night--awake at 3 a.m., the true witching hour. Got out of bed and watched the last half hour of a Roman Polanski movie from c. 1976--The Tenant-- in which Roman Polanski himself plays the tenant. He is a psychotic living in an apartment surrounded by other apartments housing a group of people with glittering eyes--very much like the coven in "Rosemary's Baby". Not a good choice to lull me back to sleep. The blandness of the mall where I bought my lunch today is at the other end of the spectrum.
