Seriously?

Chillin'

Although this evening is rather chilly, the day was beautiful. So warm and sunny in fact, that students sat on the grass as on a summer's day. This lad's private Baglama performance entertained and soothed his friends as they let their thoughts wander. What they didn't realise was that the three of us music teachers were sitting directly behind them, also enjoying the sun, the warmth and the music :)

Day two of Lise Live auditions went just fine, and now I shall spend the evening deciding who is in and who is out and creating the running order. The best and the worst of tasks.

Just incase anyone is interested in this instrument - here's a Turkish Baglama group playing a couple of tunes in a really very nice arrangement, if you would like to learn what this delicate instrument sounds like. I am fairly sure that the venue is the old water cistern in Istanbul which is now a popular tourist destination since its conversion to an acoustically stunning underground concert venue.
