Destination in sight

I had time for a bit of a blip-wander before meeting Carl for a cinema visit. This was towards the end of the wander, on Bachelor's Way heading towards Middle Abbey Street. I waited for this guy to get into the frame before clicking the shutter. Fancifully, I decided that he was rather speedily on his way to The Oval Bar just across the road. He might well have been - it is an excellent spot, after all.

We met in the Grand Central bar, had a bite to eat in Sheries on Lower Abbey Street (a place that's still going strong after very many years). The menu had lots of adventurous choices, some of which lived up to expectation. Our Luas stop was close by, and we were speedily whisked to Smithfield and the wonderful Lighthouse cinema to see Gravity 3D. It was really good: excellent, subtle 3D effects, fine performances from Sandra Bullock and George Clooney, brilliant cinematography.

After the film we went to the nearby Oscar's bar for a few bevvies. All in all, a good night out.
