German Market

Well, much to my surprise this morning, I found that the Frankfurt German Market has arrived and is open for business in Birmingham. Gluhwien, bier, wurst, strudel all lovely things all the way around the City Centre. As I'd gone to do my Christmas Shopping it made me feel quite festive. It was certainly chilly this morning but I was able to browse all the stalls to my heart's content without having to struggle through the crowds of people who throng there at evenings and weekends. The best German market I've ever been to is still the medieval one on the banks of the river in Koln but Birmingham does a good job too. Might order the turkey tomorrow!
