Tea Mugs

Yet another in the my series of Oh-Damn-It's-Late-And-I've-Not-Had-Time Blips.

It has been a loooooooooooooooong day. The highlight was dealing with a "perfekter Falschsprecher".

A "perfekter Falschsprecher" is someone who is an Ausländer but believes they speak absolutely flawless German. They just open their mouths and let the words stream out. Regardless of the subjekt, they just talk and talk and talk and leave you to make the best of what they've said.

I think for most Germans, this isn't too difficult. But for me, it's like they just dumped a box of those poetry word fridge magnets on the floor and then said "You see what I mean".

Thankfully, I got the gist of what he wanted to ask and I could just speak with my colleague about what we were able to do about it. The upshot is a nice bit of analysis for me and then a dive in to the world of assembler macros. Looking forward to it.

And then after work, Deutsch lesson. It was fun. Lots of chat, lots of work, a lot of fun - the German sense of humour is great. It went on a lot longer than I thought and I ended up walking home because the bus times went from useful to not.

And now home. Quick Blip and then an hour of nothing....

Hope your day was great and I would get back to commenting tomorrow but we're booked for an early dinner with a friend, so it'll be another late Blip tomorrow...
