Hoverfly and Mexican Sunflower

While we were busy with our renovation of the allotment cottage this hoverfly (probably a species of the genus Syrphus) had a great time feeding on our Mexican Sunflower (Tithonia rotundifolia).

The weather was lovely - no wind at all and summery temperatures. In the afternoon the clouds came rolling in. There might be rain tonight.

A fantastic, laborious day!

Cheers/M&Z
