A Plumbers Wife!

Aunty Pat

The day after my dad's birthday whilst on holiday in Cornwall, staying at the caravan park that we used to stay in when we were kids.

Dad had gone and collected Aunty Pat from her house in Ruan Minor - that holiday was the first time we had all seen her since her husband, my favourite Uncle - Jim, had died the previous July. James was named after Jim.

Aunty Pat was clearly taken with little Jimbo - it was good to see her smiling.

Sadly, life without Jim was not how Pat wanted to live, and although she put a brave face on it, her health deteriorated and problems complicated each other. She persevered for years but joined Jim for the final time earlier this year.

I remember her laugh - infectious - and her spirit. I loved her very much.
