Frigiliani

After some strenuous walking up and down a steep mountain with paddling and clambering up a rocky river gorge, we ended up at this very attractive old village where by law the houses have to be whitewashed every year. Mules are used to transport materials because the cobbled streets are so narrow and steep with most having steps, this being one of the less steep streets. Tiny alleys lead to delightful looking little restaurants but we had no time to linger.

(The blip does not do it justice as I couldn't adjust the light.)
