On the Horizon

So happy to see my Dad and Jo today, who called in to see us as they were down from Maidstone for a long weekend in Weymouth. We took a walk down to the seafront and the sea and clouds were stunning with a large ship just resting on the Horizon. This picture will always remind me of my Dad as it was taken within minutes of finding out some bad news.

Sadly, despite beating cancer of the jaw 14 years ago which involved his whole jaw bone being removed and his face rebuilt with part of his hip, this terrible disease is back to take hostage of his throat. It's early stages and he starts Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy on 2nd December, every day for 7 weeks, though Dr's are very hopeful they can cure it yet again.

My son and I finished the afternoon helping at the school crafting afternoon. So proud of him as he tried every activity without needing me by his side, just popping back to see me to proudly show me what he had made, as I was looking after a Christmas card making table.

Finished the evening with Mr Lovely, the BEST BEST hug in the world, some tears, and a meal out for the 3 of us together.



Leaving my yoga guru's tonight in favour of this. Seemed so appropriate in light of the news today:
