Odd emergency vehicles (2)

Hollyrood Park was crawling with emergency vehicles this morning - no idea why (despite this intrepid reporter's best efforts to wheedle information from her best friends, the polis).

A few vehicles bore the legend 'National Risk and Resilience Department'. Apparently they provide a comprehensive, effective and robust organisation-wide structure for risk management, integrated emergency planning, business continuity management and specialised operational response. (Who writes this stuff?)

They respond to emergencies involving communicable diseases, hazardous chemical, biological, radiological, or nuclear, mass casualties and mass fatalities.

I'm hoping it was just a training exercise. Wouldn't want to come back from my Sunday walk with a fatal communicable disease, picked up while climbing Arthur's Seat.
