High Life

Our new DIY scaffolding. It is a little like 'grown up Meccano'. After about 5 hours of fiddling around - I finally got it to look like the picture that came with it. This was pretty important - as I was about to risk my life on it! At least we only live about 5 minutes from the local casualty department.

With the addition of some home made sandbags, we made it fairly stable. Then, gingerly, I climbed up through the ingenious trap door and proceeded to use various garden pruning implements to trim our monstrous ever growing Leylandiis.

Job done, mission accomplished, they look fairly presentable now. Luckily the scaffolding only took around 30 minutes to disassemble and pack away for next year.

There must be better ways to spend your Sundays !
