baby gators

went to the wetlands boardwalk before the Dolphins football game today (they didn't fare very well). It was noon, and the water was higher than usual, so we weren't seeing a lot of birds. Luckily, around the back of the mile loop, we came upon a bunch of these baby alligators. They were mostly snoozing- got a few shots with open eyes. Found out from someone who had been there, that they hatched on Thursday (3 days ago- same age as puppies blipped fri.). We figured they were just under a foot long, from tip to tip, probably the smallest ones we've ever seen.
