Play Ball!

Ben's turn today! They are the Grasshoppers! Most the team is younger than he is and more experienced. They let him pitch the first inning...yikes...then he was catcher the second inning. Kept getting too close (for mom) to the batter. Got hit by the ball and ditched the catcher gear and sat on the bench. He finally got to bat. Made the first run on base! Then made it all the way to home plate by the next batter!! Made his day. But the run didn't count since the kid going to first got out. Oh well. He didn't really understand that. He was happy anyway! Then the game was (finally) over!! And it was snack time!

This was his first baseball game. No, T-ball doesn't count, apparently. We just need to get his confidence up a little.

Beautiful day today! We got to sit in the shade of a tree, with a breeze in the air! Nice change.
