The field with the Bridle Path

8.4C bright, light breeze.

This morning we decided to tidy Apothecary7's studio. I haven't been working in there myself for a while, my last prints having been made in the kitchen. We took in a couple of boxes and three plastic crates and sorted out a lot of paintings and various sorts of paper we have saved for collage work and some painting media. Much was bagged for throwing out. We now have a much tidier studio where everything is easily accessed and can be clearly seen.

Then we took Maeve the Deerhound for her latest visit to the Vet. I reported on all the improvements I have noticed. The Vet made a brief examination, which mostly involves turning Maeve's head this way and that. His verdict is a big improvement and that no injection was needed today. More anti inflammatory for two weeks then another appointment after which we all hope she can be on a reducing dose of the drug. No jumping, but longer walks can resume :-)

From the Vets we made a detour by the recycle centre and dumped all our art tidyings then went to a garden centre for some Spring bulbs. Apothecary7 likes a little display in pots for the front of the house.

Next was a drive a few miles inland to a farm shop which has a coffee shop. Lunch. We hadn't been for a while. Just as good as ever. I just checked last year's blip for tomorrow's date and realised it is a year since we were there !

This afternoon we took Maeve for her first walk down the field with the bridle path for a couple of weeks. The little red tractor was ploughing and towing the little harrow behind. There was still a strip of stubble we could walk along. It was good to be back. A tractor to watch, hardly a cloud to be seen, and the sea a lovely bright blue !
