The Crown Bar

The Crown Bar, Belfast is made up of a number of small private snugs. In 1917 it was in one of these snugs where my granny found her brother Thomas after he had returned from WWI France. Adamant he wasn't leaving and unable to shift him out of the pub granny ended up parking a horse and carriage tight against the side door of the bar. She then got Thomas a pint and coaxed him into the "other snug"...He was half way home before he realised the snug was moving. :)
