Double Take

When I saw this billboard my first thought was that a man with a weapon of some type had applauded kindness of strangers (Had they handed over their valuables with a smile?)
My next thought was that a man with one arm had applauded the kindness.
I must confess I then tried to figure out how a man with one arm had managed this feat.
