For a Last Curtain Call

This cherry tree has done sterling service this year.

It was cold overnight but the last of its leaves were still hanging on this morning. If you look carefully you can even see snow on the hills.

The leaves will not be there much longer. On Thursday Stuart the gardener, who has a blower, will collect them all together for composting.

Incidentally the tree has a rather lopsided shape because it was hit by a delivery wagon some years ago.
