Selfie....

In honour of the word of the year - selfie. So I discovered while listening to the radio this morning on the way to work on the first day of winter. The Oxford Dictionary's word of the year for 2013, joining chav, credit crunch, omnishambles and other shining examples from our ever evolving language. There's a preponderance of these ending in -ie words around - onesie, bestie, prezzie, bosie, quinie, and loonie, and now selfie. Some of these you'll notice are Doric words, with a Peterhead twist, namely the -ie ending. Could it be the bloo toon dialect is taking over? What a thought!

PS I'm just away to back blip my Tenerife holiday snaps, if you care to take a look!
