My Happy Place

We have been visiting this part of Devon for many years. The beach has been the focus of so much fun over the years in both the summer and winter. When the boys were young we had many winter bbqs, serenaded by nephew on the ukulele and both sons on the guitars. Both the mothers love the beach in the summer and I have fond, if exhausting memories, of running back and for to the cafe in order to keep them sustained with cups of tea and ice-creams. Visits with our Brighton friends were, more often than not, hilarious - I will say no more!
Without being maudlin it is also the place where we have scattered both our dogs' ashes as they loved it too.
This time we are alone but it still manages to weave its magic. Lovely, lovely Meadfoot Beach.
