online meetings

I spent much of today in meetings with students about various research projects - although they were all located somewhere else.... Videoconferencing has revolutionised my diary, now it is really possible to be in two places at once! This meeting I did from my desktop computer, linking with the rest of the supervisory team - it takes a bit of getting used to the etiquette, but the technology has improved tremendously over the past few years - high-resolution images in live time. I really do think this is a great use of digital technology!
